Assembly Winter with €15,000 purse

Assembly Winter 2016 will have a €15,000 prize pool for the CS:GO tournament, the event's organisers have revealed.

Held at the Helsinki Exhibition and Convention Centre from February 5-6, the 2016 Winter edition of the Assembly LAN will once again stage an international CS:GO tournament, this time with €15,000 on offer.

Eight teams will be taking part in this competition, with four of them being directly invited by Assembly. The remaining four sides will come from two online qualifiers, scheduled for January 16-17 and 23-24.

The tournament will feature a double-elimination, best-of-one group stage in which only the decider matches will be best-of-three. Two teams will advance from both groups to the single-elimination playoffs, featuring best-of-three matches.

Once again, YLE TV2, one of the main TV channels in Finland, will broadcast the grand final of Assembly on live television, starting at 22:30 .

The prize distribution for the tournament is the following:
